The annual food industry event that shapes the food system of the future

Open agrifood is a forum that brings together all economic players ‘from field to fork’. It’s a yearly opportunity to discuss the challenges facing agriculture, the food industry and distribution, with a focus on the development of a sustainable and responsible food system.

The 2016 edition will take place on November 16 and 17 in Orléans, France and will look at the following issues:  Responsible Innovation and Food Supply. At this event, participants will have the chance to find out about innovation in all its forms and throughout the entire food supply chain and to work together on new ideas to meet future challenges. Tereos, an event partner for the last two years, will take part in this unique forum to reflect on the issues it shares with the rest of the industry.

Meeting on November 16 and 17

In order go beyond theory and turn discussion into concrete action, Open agrifood has created a “DO TANK”: Open agrifood Initiatives, which has led to the emergence of innovative, multi-stakeholder projects. Four working groups generated 16 collaborative project ideas, of which 9 were incubated and will be presented at the 2016 edition.

Xavier Beulin[1], Emmanuel Vasseneix[2] and Erik Orsenna[3] will host stakeholders from throughout the food supply chain sector to showcase the many innovations that are emerging on the key themes of sustainability for the French agrifood industry.

Tereos is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR is at the heart of Tereos’ strategy so that economic performance combines with corporate responsibility in the long term. The Group has outlined five major areas to which it is committed: sustainable agriculture, positive logistics and industry, product guarantees, local development, and health and nutrition.

Together these cover Tereos’ environmental and social footprint; from the production of agricultural commodities to industrial processing and the end consumer. Action plans and performance indicators are in place for each of these challenges, at the core of Tereos’ activities and relations with its key stakeholders.
