Tereos unveils Sweet&You and Le Sauté Végétal at the FiE Exhibition

The Food ingredients Europe took place in Frankfurt at the end of November. An unmissable event and an opportunity for Tereos to showcase its latest nutritional innovations.

 

New flavors, new textures, more nutritional value and better traceability: today’s consumers expect more from their food. These opportunities provided the backdrop for the Food ingredients Europe exhibition in Frankfurt, Europe’s biggest food ingredients exhibition, which ran from November 28 through 30. On the menu were conferences, meetings, workshops, and innovation, with nearly 1,500 producers of ingredients coming together to present their freshest ideas to food manufacturers.

 

Tereos reveals its latest service: Sweet&You

During the course of this three-day event, Tereos rallied its marketing, sales, and innovation teams for the launch of Sweet&You, a new tailor-made service that takes into account nutritional and sensory factors, cost, ease of implementation, and time frames to help customers achieve the best possible formulations for their products.

Eric Villain, Tereos Marketing & Sales Excellence Director, talks to us about this new service.

Sweet&You’s sales demonstration was a resounding success. Customers were invited to sample made-to-order non-alcoholic cocktails, which provided a great starting point for personalized discussions about their specific needs. Three cocktails were prepared on site by a bartender, using varying quantities of sugar, fructose and Tereos stevia extracts (up to 50% less sugar).

Recognition for Tereos’ Sauté Végétal

Sauté Végétal was another innovation to receive recognition. This pioneering food, made from wheat and chickpeas, was launched at the start of 2017 and was presented for the first time to agri-food manufacturers, who were able to sample two recipes cooked on-site by chef Yves Jasmin.

Sauté Végétal also won the Business France French innovation award in the “proteins of the future” category. Further recognition for a product that was already a winner at the World Innovation Competition in 2015!

 

A delighted audience

Yet again, this year’s sales events managed to win over the public, who turned out in force. The 2017 FiE provided a springboard for Tereos to start discussions with more than 500 prospective customers in 60 different countries.

Tereos extended the event with a sustainable development-themed reception. The soirée featured a special appearance by French sailor Maud Fontenoy, who is known for her active commitment to environmental protection. Alexis Duval, Chief Executive Officer, and Gérard Benedetti, Communications and CSR Director, also outlined Tereos’ key commitments
