On Thursday September 5, 2024, the foundation stone was laid at the Origny-Sainte-Benoite (02) sugar refinery-distillery site for a Solid Recovered Fuels (SRF) boiler plant, the only one of its kind in the Hauts-de-France region. From 2027, this future facility will enable 40% of fossil gas consumption to be replaced by energy generated from non-hazardous waste.<\/p>\n

This boiler facility will process non-hazardous, non-recycled waste (wood, paper, cardboard, plastics, foam, etc.), most of which is currently landfilled. The benefits of this installation are many: contributing to a more sustainable industry, optimizing the waste recovery circuit, reinforcing the competitiveness of the Origny-Sainte-Benoite site<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
