As a member of the SAI (Sustainable Agriculture Initiative) platform since 2015,\u00a0Tereos\u00a0has set itself the objective of extracting maximum value from its agricultural raw materials. As testament to the development of good agricultural practices,\u00a0Tereos\u00a0successfully renewed its audit for the SAI Platform\u2019s Farm Sustainability Assessment this year. This internationally-<\/span>recognised<\/span>\u00a0assessment addresses the three sustainable development themes: environmental protection, economic and social management.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The self-assessments were carried out at the farms of\u00a0Tereos\u2019 cooperative associates, who represent the group\u2019s supply region. A random sample was then audited by an independent body\u00a0<\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0certify the implementation of good agricultural practices within their operations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tereos\u2019 cooperative associates reinforce their position as sustainable producers<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All of<\/span>\u00a0the cooperative associates\u2019 agricultural production (sugar beet, potato starch and alfalfa), that is collected directly by\u00a0Tereos\u00a0is therefore subject to this approach.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The SAI approach makes it possible to meet the expectations of customers and consumers concerned about responsible agricultural production methods.
