On January 14, Campus Europe welcomed \u201cProt\u00e9ines<\/strong>\u00a0France\u201d, an industry consortium chaired by\u00a0Tereos\u00a0for three years.<\/strong> The event, organized by and for players in plant proteins and new resources,\u00a0gathered together\u00a020 start-ups, SMEs, and major groups in the sector.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The plant protein and new resources sector is very innovative. It creates engagement and convergence to face future challenges. This type of meeting accelerates the movement by mobilizing our collective expertise. I thank the 20 members and start-ups of this day for their commitment<\/span><\/i>” explains Anne Wagner, Tereos R&D Director and President of <\/span>Prot\u00e9ines<\/span>\u00a0France.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The focus of the discussions:<\/strong> How do we accelerate the development of plant proteins and new resources (for example, microalgae) for human nutrition and animal feed of the future?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>The challenge for us, Producers and Retailers, is not just to seek a substitution for animal proteins. Plant proteins can provide us with natural solutions in the reformulation of our products. The challenge of this membership is to be at the heart of innovation and the development of French plant sectors<\/span><\/i>“,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>says Christophe\u00a0<\/span>Bonno<\/span>, Director of Agricultural Institutional Relations at\u00a0<\/span>Les Mousquetaires<\/span><\/i>, a new member of the consortium along with\u00a0<\/span>Puratos<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Algama<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Adisseo<\/span>, and\u00a0<\/span>Fermentalg<\/span>, a young SME in the microalgae-derived protein sector.
