Open Day season is here!

14 scheduled events held at Tereos plants

September 28, 2019 marks the launch of Tereos’ Open Day season across several sugar factories, starch facilities, and dehydration sites in France. The first wave of events will take place on Saturdays up until January, while the second wave is scheduled for the 2020-21 Campaign.

Who is invited?

On Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., public authorities, local partners, and the regional and local press are invited to attend these Open Days. From 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the plants’ employees and the cooperative associates for each site are invited to come and share this unique experience with their families (Children aged 14 years and older are allowed on all sites except for the Artenay site, where the minimum age requirement is 16 years old). The objective: To enable Tereos’ stakeholders to meet, and to exchange and share their know-how.

What is the program?

Put on your PPE (personal protective equipment will be lent to you on site)! Guided tours lasting around 30 minutes will be organized in each plant to allow families to look around the production sites, and to learn about the sugar and starch manufacturing processes. At the same time, there will be stands and activities for the participants:

The Thumeries site goes further with ANIA

ANIA is the French National Association of Food Industries, of which Tereos is a member. From November 7–9, 2019, it is inviting its member companies to open their doors to the general public with an initiative called “Discover What You Eat”. The theme for this year? Raw materials!

In this respect, the Thumeries site is taking part in this initiative by also opening its doors to the general public and to schools. Tasting workshops, quizzes, and guided tours will be organized.

If you want to take part in the Open Days, it is very simple! Keep an eye on your inbox, as you will shortly receive your invitation. Then, all you have to do is sign up for your plant’s Open Day date:
