Tereos, world leader in the sugar industry and alcohol production, assigns five of its factories in the manufacture of hydroalcoholic gel
In a context of shortage of hydroalcoholic gel in France, the Tereos group decided to assign five of its factories in the production of hydroalcoholic gel. This decision will be implemented today at the five concerned locations.
The five factories concerned are those of Artenay (Loiret), Origny-Sainte-Benoite (Aisne), Lillers (Pas-de-Calais), Morains (Marne) and Nesle (Somme) located in the North, Grand Est and Center. They have the know-how necessary for the manufacture of pharmaceutical alcohol and the significant capacities that make Tereos the leading producer of alcohol in France. These capacities will be used to manufacture hydroalcoholic gel. Tereos, a corporate citizen, will thus make its contribution to national solidarity.
This production has already started on a first site and will be made available free of charge to Regional Health Agencies and hospitals in nearby regions, which are experiencing very critical situations.
“Faced with the unprecedented ordeal that our country is going through, we have considered it our duty to contribute and support the caregivers who fight every day to save lives. It is a commitment shared by all the Cooperative Associates and all the teams within our Group” said Alexis Duval, Tereos Chief Executive Officer.
