“Protéines France” fosters the food solutions of tomorrow
As a member of the “Protéines France” consortium, Tereos has followed a student challenge aimed at boosting consumer use of plant proteins
How can we feed 9 billion people by 2050? Since October 2019, The Village by CA, an ecosystem of start-ups and large groups designed to promote collective innovation, has been on the case.
Firmly of the belief that proteins—specifically plant based proteins—are a vital solution to this issue, Tereos weighed in on the discussion via “Protéines France”. This consortium of companies, chaired by our Group for three years, encourages reflection on the food of tomorrow — where plant proteins will play a key role.
The goal of this second edition was to support the transition of the agriculture and food sector in being more plant based. Students had to come up with a healthy, gourmet and sustainable recipe that would pave the way for plant proteins in the food of tomorrow. The three award-winning teams set themselves apart with innovative proposals:
